Suicide Bombing Kills Up To Eight In Northern Iraq

A suicide car bomb has killed as many as eight people in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul.

Police and hospital sources said that the bomber targeted a military checkpoint.

The attack on February 11 also wounded up to eight people, mostly soldiers.

The attack comes a day after gunmen killed four people in Mosul in three separate attacks.

The victims included two policemen, one soldier, and an oil worker.

Mosul, 390 kilometers north of Baghdad, is a multiethnic city and with a population comprising mostly Arabs, Kurds, and Turkomans.
