U.S. President Barack Obama has arrived in China to attend the G20 summit in his last trip to Asia as president.
Air Force One landed in the eastern city of Hangzhou on September 3. The city is hosting the Group of 20 summit of industrialized and emerging economies.
Obama is expected to use the trip to highlight his work on climate change. He was due to speak on the subject later in the day before meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The two leaders are expected to announce their countries are formally taking part in the Paris agreement to cut carbon emissions that contribute to global warming.
On the sidelines of the summit, Obama also plans to meet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for the first time since a failed coup attempt against his government in July.
After the G20 meeting Obama will travel to Laos to attend the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) summit.
