Several Killed After Bus Plunges Into Pakistani Ravine

At least 10 people were killed when a passenger bus fell 150 meters into a ravine in Pakistan's northwestern Himalayan region of Kashmir.

The bus was traveling from the northwestern garrison city of Rawalpindi to the frontier town of Forward Kahuta.

Twenty people were aboard the bus when it crashed on December 2.

Fatal traffic accidents are common in Pakistan due to poorly maintained roads and reckless driving.

The twisting and narrow mountain roads in northwestern Pakistan are particularly hazardous.
