At Least 14 Dead In Pakistan Car Bombing

Pakistani officials say a car-bomb attack on a convoy of paramilitary forces killed at least 14 people on the outskirts of the northwestern city of Peshawar.

Police officials said the June 30 blast also wounded at least 25 people and damaged several vehicles and nearby shops.

Police officer Javed Merwat said some of the injured were in critical condition.

According to a spokesman for the Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar, two children and a woman were among those wounded in the powerful blast.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
