Pakistan To Hold Special Day In Honor Of Prophet Muhammad

Pakistani lawyers in Islamabad attempt to reach the U.S. embassy during a protest against an anti-Islam movie in Islamabad on September 19.

Pakistan's government has called on Muslims in the country to make this September 21 an official "day of expression of love for the Prophet [Muhammad]."

The move comes in response to the low-budget film made in the United States that has sparked anger among Muslims worldwide for its insulting portrayal of Islam's last Prophet Muhammad.

Several Islamic parties in Pakistan called for protests on September 21 to express their outrage against the film "Innocence of Muslims."

Around 20 people have been killed since a trailer for the film was posted on the Internet site YouTube.

Several countries have blocked access to YouTube.
