A series of blasts and gunfire have rocked the southern Pakistani town of Sukkur.
Local police officials said the target of the attack late on July 24 appeared to be a heavily guarded compound housing the offices of Pakistan's military intelligence agency and other security offices.
The deputy chief of police in Sukkur said up to 10 gunmen attacked the compound and detonated four bombs.
Sporadic fire was heard in the area following the blasts.
The exact number of casualties is unclear, but state television said five people were killed and more than 30 were injured.
The report said that "terrorists" seized control of one government building and another building was under fire.
Sukkur is some 500 kilometers north of Karachi, the main city of Sindh Province.
