In Rawalpindi, activists loyal to the religious Tehrik-e Labaik (TLP) party blocked the main road leading to the Pakistani capital, Islamabad. The TLP is demanding that the Pakistani government expel the French ambassador in response to the publication of caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad in 2020.
