Protesters Try To Block Ukrainian LGBT Parade

Thousands took part in a gay-pride parade in the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, on June 23. The march had the highest turnout ever. It was heavily guarded by police, who had to intervene at one point when counterprotesters attempted to engage in scuffles with the gay-parade participants.
