Two More Die From Fire Injuries In Romania

Two more people have died from burns sustained in a deadly nightclub fire in the Romanian capital, bringing the total number of deaths in the tragedy to 53.

Bogdan Oprita, spokesman for the Floreasca Emergency Hospital in Bucharest, said the latest two victims died early on November 12.

Initially, 26 people died at the scene of the blaze on October 30 blaze after a spark ignited foam decorations during a rock concert.

The fire sent panicked concertgoers stampeding for a single-door exit.

Victims have been dying from their injuries since the tragedy on an almost daily basis.

The fire sparked mass protests in Romania that led to the collapse of the government, with many demonstrators blaming the tragedy on corruption and bad governance.

President Klaus Iohannis has appointed former European Union Agriculture Commissioner Dacian Ciolos to form a technocrat government.
