Putin Defends Punishment Of Protesters, Attacks Sanctions

Russian President Vladimir Putin said people who broke the law should be punished, after being asked about hundreds of people jailed for taking part in anticorruption protests on March 26. Speaking at an arctic forum in Arkhangelsk, northern Russia, on March 30, Putin also attacked U.S. sanctions on Moscow. (Reuters)
