Air Strike Destroys MSF Clinic In Syria

Doctors Without Borders (MSF) says an air strike has destroyed an MSF-supported clinic in northern Syria, killing at least seven people and leaving more missing.

In a statement on February 15, MSF said it was a "deliberate" attack, but did not say who had carried it out.

MSF said another eight people were missing, presumed dead, in the incident in the northern town of Maaret al-Numan.

It said the dead included five patients, a caretaker, and a hospital guard, and that the missing eight were all staff members.

An unknown number of patients were also missing, the charity added.

The London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said nine people, including one child, were killed in the attack. The group said the clinic "was destroyed on [February 15] by aircraft, presumably Russian."

MSF supports about 150 hospitals and clinics around Syria.
