Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan To Discuss Economic Cooperation

Prime Minister Vladimir Putin is in Minsk today for talks with counterparts from Belarus and Kazakhstan.

The Interstate Council of the Eurasian Economic Community, the highest body of the customs union between Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan, is meeting today in Minsk.

The talks, which bring together the premiers of those three countries -- Russia's Vladimir Putin, Belarus's Mikhail Myasnikovich, and Kazakhstan's Karim Masimov – are to focus on measures for deepening economic cooperation.

A meeting between Putin and Belarusian President Alyaksandr Lukashenka is also expected.
