Two NATO Soldiers, ISAF Civilian Killed In Afghanistan Attacks

Two soldiers and a civilian working with the NATO-led military alliance in Afghanistan have been killed in separate attacks in the country's east.

The NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) said one soldier and "one ISAF civilian" were killed by a “direct fire attack” on June 1.

Separately, another soldier was killed by a roadside bomb blast in the same region.

NATO did not provide further details about the attacks.

Meanwhile, on June 1 Polish broadcaster TVN24 quoted Polish military officials who said they captured one of the most wanted Taliban leaders in southeastern Afghanistan last week.

The broadcaster identified the militant leader as “Sabawoon.”
