U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson asked allies to understand the need for a temporary immigration ban from selected countries. Speaking on March 6 after President Donald Trump signed a new 90-day restriction on travel to the United States by citizens of six Muslim-majority nations, Tillerson said the measure was needed to combat the threat from "radical Islamist terrorists."
