U.S. President Donald Trump said he expected North Korea's denuclearization process to start very soon. Speaking to reporters after his meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Singapore on June 12, Trump said U.S. sanctions would be lifted "when we are sure that the nukes are no longer a factor."
