Tunisia Dissolves Party Of Ousted President

A Tunisian court has dissolved the party of ousted president Zine El Abidine Ben Ali.

Pro-democracy activists had repeatedly demanded the party's dismantling since Ben Ali was ousted following weeks of mass protests on February 14.

The protests inspired uprisings throughout the Arab world.

Ben Ali's party -- the Constitutional Democratic Rally -- claimed a membership of 2 million people out of a population of 12 million.
