U.S. Vice President Mike Pence has called for coordinated diplomatic and economic pressure on North Korea to dismantle its nuclear weapons program. Pence was speaking in Tokyo on April 18, two days after a failed North Korean missile launch raised tensions over Pyongyang's nuclear ambitions. Following a meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Pence said he had reassured Japan of U.S. commitment to a denuclearized Korean Peninsula. (Reuters)
