Bolton Urges Europe Not To 'Tie Itself' To Russian Gas

White House National Security Adviser John Bolton called on Ukraine and European nations to be less reliant on Russia for energy and urged them to find alternative sources of natural gas. On a visit to Kyiv on August 24, Bolton said the United States was concerned about the implications of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline project that would carry Russian gas to Germany.
