U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry has condemned a rocket attack on a Baghdad camp housing Iranian exiles that killed at least three people and injured dozens.
The Mujahidin-e-Khalq (MEK) group has accused Iranian authorities of probably being behind the incident on June 15, with Iraqi complicity.
The MEK, which fought on Iraq's side during the Iran-Iraq war of the 1980s, seeks the overthrow of Iran's Islamic republic.
In a statement, Kerry described the incident as an "unprovoked terrorist attack" that was "brutal, senseless, and utterly unacceptable."
He said the United States had urged Iraq's government to provide medical help to victims and bring the attackers to justice.
The statement added that the United States remained committed to helping move the exiles to a location outside Iraq.
