A U.S. military hospital in Germany says U.S. Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl's condition shows "signs of improvement," several days after he was released by his Taliban captors and evacuated from Afghanistan.
The Landstuhl regional medical center said Bergdahl remains in stable condition and is "becoming more engaged in his treatment-care plan."
It remains unclear when Bergdahl might be released from the hospital and return to the United States.
Meanwhile, Taliban spokesman Zaibullah Mujahid said that Bergdahl was held under "good conditions" during the nearly five years he was a captive.
Mujahid said: "You can ask him in America about his life [in captivity]. He will not complain."
