Reports quoting Pakistani intelligence officials say a U.S. drone aircraft fired missiles into a house in Pakistan's tribal region today, killing at least eight suspected militants.
An unnamed intelligence official said the strike targeted a compound and a vehicle in the Datta Khel area of the North Waziristian region.
It was the first U.S. drone strike in Pakistan since American forces killed terror mastermind Osama bin Laden in a commando raid in Abbotabad, not far from the capital on May 2.
