Overnight, U.S. forces attacked suspected insurgent positions in the mainly Sunni Muslim city of Al-Fallujah for a third time in 24 hours. The military said the strike targeted a meeting of suspected militants loyal to Al-Qaeda-linked Jordanian militant Abu Mus'ab al-Zarqawi.
Today two car bombs detonated near Al-Fallujah, injuring U.S. and Iraqi soldiers.
