Internships are competitive and unpaid, but provide valuable hands-on experience, professional mentoring, and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful journalism.

Radio Farda is seeking a Production Assistant Intern to support our editorial and production teams at our headquarters in Prague. This is an in-person internship designed for students or recent graduates interested in digital media production, video, design, and storytelling.

The intern will assist with a variety of production tasks related to Radio Farda's digital platforms and weekly visual programming. Responsibilities may include supporting video editing, preparing graphics and visual assets, organizing production materials, assisting with social media content, and providing general production support across editorial projects.

The internship will last up to Eight weeks, with an expected commitment of 2–3 days per week (approximately 16–20 hours weekly), depending on the intern's availability and agreement with the mentor.

You will learn

  • How multimedia news and feature productions are developed from concept to publication.
  • Video editing and post-production workflows in a professional newsroom.
  • Graphic production and visual storytelling for digital and social media platforms.
  • Editorial planning and cross-platform content production.
  • Collaboration within an international public-service media organization.

Minimum requirements

  • Educational background or demonstrated interest in media, journalism, communications, film, graphic design, visual arts, or a related field.
  • Fluent in Persian (Farsi); working knowledge of English.
  • Basic experience with video editing software (such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut ProX, or similar).
  • Basic experience with graphic design software (such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, or similar).
  • Creativity, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a production team.
  • Interest in current affairs, digital storytelling, and Radio Farda's mission.
  • Ability to attend the internship in person at Prague headquarters.

This internship is an excellent opportunity for aspiring media professionals to gain practical newsroom experience while contributing to creative productions reaching Persian-speaking audiences worldwide.
