Shape the Future of Data-Driven Digital Products
We are looking for an experienced Product Manager, Analytics to lead the strategy and execution of analytics implementation across all user-facing digital products. This role is central to establishing a consistent, accurate, and actionable data ecosystem that supports product, editorial, and strategic decision-making. The position requires close collaboration with audience research, development teams, and other product stakeholders to define standards and ensure high-quality, end-to-end data flow.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to define and maintain organizational standards for analytics across platforms.
- Develop and maintain a product analytics framework to ensure meaningful, consistent tracking of user interactions across all digital products.
- Lead website tagging strategy and implementation (Tealium Tag Manager, Google Tag Manager, analytics pixels), including tag deployment, QA, troubleshooting, and cross‑team coordination to ensure accurate event tracking and data integrity for product analysis and marketing.
- Manage and maintain RFE/RL’s data warehouse, including design, maintenance of data pipelines, schema & data modeling, performance tuning, backups, and security and access controls. Monitor costs, ensure data quality, and coordinate with development and product teams to support reliable, timely reporting and analytics.
- Troubleshoot problematic data appearing in analytics in close cooperation with Audience & Growth colleagues.
- Set clear, practical implementation guidelines for development teams related to event tagging, tracking architecture, and tool integration.
- Oversee the data flow from digital products through tag management systems to reporting and visualization tools.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align analytics implementations with business goals and KPIs.
- Coordinate benchmarking and knowledge sharing with peer teams across the organization to identify and promote best practices.
- Act as product owner for analytics-related features and tools; works with developers to translate needs into actionable development tasks.
- Ensure privacy and security compliance in all aspects of data collection and reporting.
- Stay up to date regarding changes in analytics tracking and emerging technologies.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Digital Media, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Digital Product Management, Product Analytics, or Web Analytics.
- At least 4-5 years of experience owning or managing digital analytics solutions.
- Proven track record in designing and implementing product analytics frameworks across multiple digital platforms.
- Strong understanding of analytics architecture, tagging frameworks, event tracking, and data flows.
- Hands-on experience with: Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Tag Manager (GTM), BigQuery or similar data warehouse solutions
- Strong strategic thinking and the ability to translate complex analytical requirements into scalable solutions.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Strong planning, documentation, and organizational capabilities.
- Solid understanding of data privacy regulations and their impact on analytics practices.
- Professional proficiency in English.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in media, broadcasting, publishing, or digital journalism environments.
- Familiarity with web and mobile application technologies.
- Experience with data visualization platforms such as Looker Studio, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of languages spoken within our broadcast regions.
