In its World Energy Outlook report issued on 7 November, the IEA said energy demand and greenhouse gas emissions will soar by more than 50 percent by 2030 if consumers keep burning oil unchecked.
The report by the Paris-based agency also said China and other developing countries will emerge as the world's biggest polluters over the next 25 years.
