Arrests Made Over Video Of British Abuse Of Iraqis

British troops in Iraq (file photo) (ITAR-TASS) 13 February 2006 -- One person has been arrested after the release of a video apparently showing British soldiers beating Iraqi teenagers in 2004.

The British Defense Ministry said the arrest was made on 12 February but declined to give further details. A spokesman only said the arrest was made "in conjunction with the investigation."

The video, shown on British as well as Arabic television stations, shows a group of soldiers dragging Iraqi protesters, beating them with batons and kicking them.
