Georgian President Travels To China


Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili (file photo) (AFP) April 10, 2006 -- Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili is traveling to China today for a six-day state visit focusing on bilateral ties.


Saakashvili is due to meet with Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao, and will attend the opening of a Georgian-Chinese economic forum in Beijing.


The possibility of Georgian wine exports to China may be discussed during Saakashvili's visit.
