(RFE/RL) March 31, 2007 -- A car bomb ripped through Baghdad's Shi'ite area of Sadr City today, killing at least five people and wounding several others.

The blast went off near a hospital in the district, which is a frequent target of Sunni extremists in their ongoing sectarian conflict with Shi'ites.

Two other car bomb attacks have been reported in Iraq today, one in the central town of Hilla, and the other in the northern town of Duz. At least four people were killed in those attacks.
