PACE President Continues South Caucasus Tour


YEREVAN, July 5, 2007 (RFE/RL) -- The president of the Council of Europe's Parliamentary Assembly today continues a six-day tour of the South Caucasus that takes him from Armenia to Georgia and Azerbaijan, RFE/RL's Armenian Service reported.


At a press conference on July 4 following talks with Armenian officials, Rene van der Linden praised authorities for the conduct of the May 12 parliamentary vote, but said Yerevan should learn "lessons" from irregularities reported during the ballot.
