Moscow, March 14 (RFE/RL) - Our Moscow correspondent reports
that two Russian presidential candidates - former Soviet President
Mikhail Gorbachev and pro-reform economist Grigory Yavlinsky - have
met in Moscow to discuss possible joint activities ahead of June 16
presidential election.
Our correspondent quotes a spokesman for Gorbachev, who requested anonymity, as saying the eye-to-eye meeting took place yesterday.
The spokesman did n-o-t elaborate on possible cooperation initiatives agreed by Gorbachev and Yavlinsky.
