Moscow, March 28 (RFE/RL) - Russia and Abkhazia open talks in Moscow today on free naval goods traffic to Abkhazia through the ports on the Black Sea.
RFE/RL Moscow correspondent quotes (unnamed) Russian Foreign Ministry officials as saying that Abkhazian Prime Minister Gennady Gulia and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Boris Pastukhov will discuss goods delivery to Abkhazia.
The officials also said that Gulia may meet with his Russian counterpart, Yevgeny Primakov, and Russian Border Troops director Andrei Nikolayev.
The situation in Abkhazia and on its border with Russia worsened in recent days, after Russia stepped up a blockade in the Black Sea. The move followed reports that weapons were being transported by sea to Abkhazia.
