Moscow, May 23 (RFE/RL) -- Russian Prime Minister Viktor Chernomyrdin is due to arrive in Kyiv today for a day of talks with Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma.
Our correspondent in Moscow says Chernomyrdin and Kuchma will sign
agreements on the export of Russian oil and gas to Ukraine.
It remains unclear whether Chernomyrdin and Kuchma will discuss the strategic Black Sea fleet issue. Russian President Boris Yeltsin has repeatedly put off visiting Ukraine due to disagreements between Moscow and Kyiv over the Crimea-based fleet's division.
