Moscow, July 24 (RFE/RL) -- Russian Prime Minister Viktor Chernomyrdin held talks in Moscow today with Communist Party leader Gennady Zyuganov.
Discussion centered on future relations between the government and the Communist-dominated lower house of parliament, or State Duma, according to our correspondent.
Chernomyrdin spokesman Viktor Konnov said the meeting with Zyuganov was a routine conversation. It was not clear if the two discussed the makeup of the new Russian government or whether it will include any Communists.
Earlier, Chernomyrdin held talks with Grigory Yavlinsky, an economist and "Yabloko" party leader.
