Bosnia: Mosque In Serbian Region Blown Up

Banja Luka, 19 September 2002 (RFE/RL) -- A recently rebuilt mosque in southern Bosnia-Herzegovina was destroyed by an explosion today. Milorad Jelisavac, the head of the Bosnian Serb police crime division, said the mosque in the village of Kljuc was destroyed by unidentified attackers overnight.

No injuries were reported in the attack.

The Kljuc mosque was first destroyed during the 1992-1995 war and only recently reconstructed. Post-war Bosnia is made up of the Serb-run Republika Srpska and the Muslim-Croat Federation.
