On another note, I learned that Poti authorities have decided to start the new school year on September 15 after all. Some previous statements suggested that the presence of the Russians could delay the opening of schools until October. Apart from one school that is being renovated, teachers and students will gather again in about two weeks' time -- wonder if the Russian checkpoints will still be here.
