Thousands Protest In Sumy Against Russian Intervention

An estimated 10,000 people attended a rally in the northeastern Ukrainian city of Sumy on March 2 to protest Russia's intervention in Crimea. Demonstrators held up banners saying, "We are not Russia," "Putin, hands off Ukraine," "Russia, stop Putin," and sang the Ukrainian national anthem. (RFE/RL's Ukrainian Service)
