Blaze At Trump Tower In New York Kills One Civilian, Injures Firefighters

New York authorities say one person died after a fire broke out in an apartment at the city's Trump Tower on the evening of April 7. Residents and employees were evacuated from the skyscraper and about 200 firefighters worked to put out the blaze on the 50th floor of the building, four of whom sustained minor injuries. Donald Trump's business is based in the tower and he has a residence there, although he has not spent much time in New York since he became U.S. President in January 2017. Trump was in Washington at the time, and officials said no members of his family were in the building during the incident. (AP, Reuters)
