Explosions In Ukrainian Bank Injure 21

KYIV (Reuters) -- Two explosions have injured 21 people in a bank in southern Ukraine, RFE/RL's Ukrainian Service reports.

Five of the injured were taken to hospital with serious injuries after the blast at a branch of the Oshchadbank state savings bank in the town of Melitopol, according to Emergency Situations Ministry spokesman Ihor Krol.

Sixteen others were receiving treatment, mostly for injuries caused by glass, Reuters reported

Krol gave no explanation for the explosion in the bank, which is located on the ground floor of an apartment building.
