Kazakh Opposition Party's Office Robbed


TARAZ, Kazakhstan -- The office of the opposition Azat party’s branch in the southern Kazakh city of Taraz has been robbed.

Representatives of the party told RFE/RL's Kazakh Service that they found the office door broken open this morning.

All party documents were lying on the floor.

Party branch chief Yakobzhan Djunisbekov says his computer that had information about Azat's activities is missing.

An investigation is under way.
