Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov says that Asian states are eager to strike nuclear power deals with Moscow.
On a visit to Hanoi, he said, "Our partners expressed particular interest in nuclear energy."
Lavrov is in Vietnam with Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, who is attending today's summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), a regional organization which both Russia and the United States formally became members of today.
After the summit, Medvedev is scheduled to hold talks with Vietnamese leaders and sign multibillion-dollar deal to build Vietnam's first nuclear power plant.
