Lenin Back In Vogue In Moldova

Moldovan President Vladimir Voronin, when placing flowers at Lenin's statue in Chisinau on January 21 to commemorate the 85th anniversary of his death, said that the Soviet leader's ideas remain topical even today.

Voronin, who is also the head of Moldova's Communist Party, said that Lenin "was not just a genius leader, but also a genius organizer."

The Communist Party returned to power in Moldova in 2001.

Noting the rising disillusionment with neo-liberalism, the Kazakh Communist Party has already said that the answers to the financial crisis are to be found in Marx's "Das Kapital."
