NATO Soldier Killed In Afghanistan


NATO's International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) says one of its service members has died in an attack by militants in Afghanistan.

The attack happened on May 9 in eastern Afghanistan. No further details were released.

Also on May 9, Britain said one of its soldiers was killed in an explosion while on foot patrol in the southern province of Helmand.

The latest death brings to 187 the total number of foreign soldiers to die in the Afghan war so far this year, including 115 Americans and 40 British.
