Officials say Pakistani security forces have killed up to 30 Taliban fighters after coming under attack in a volatile tribal area on the border with Afghanistan.
Officials say one soldier was killed and four wounded in the early morning attack on a military post in the Chamarkand area of the Mohmand region.
The attack happened not far from the Bajur region where the military this week announced it had cleared the militant stronghold after a successful operation.
