MOSCOW -- Activists of the pro-Kremlin Nashi (Ours) youth movement held a protest against jailed former oil tycoon Mikhail Khodorkovsky in Moscow, RFE/RL's Russian Service reports.

About 30 people took part in the demonstration in front of Moscow's Khamovnichesky court, where a criminal case against the former Yukos CEO and his associate, Platon Lebedev, is being tried.

The protesters held pictures of individuals who are allegedly victims of what they called "Khodorkovsky's empire."

Khodorkovsky is halfway through an eight-year jail term for tax evasion and fraud. He is now on trial on additional charges of embezzling and money laundering.

He and his supporters say all the charges are politically motivated.
