BELGRADE -- Seventeen people have been detained in Belgrade accused of the misuse of official documents and funds within the Serbian military, RFE/RL's South Slavic and Albanian Languages Service reports.
Seven of the 17 are considered members of a network and were full-time employees of the Defense Ministry.
Among those detained were two doctors who are suspected of providing fake documents used to obtain flats, pensions, and other military property.
An official announcement said some members of the group were working for the former Yugoslav Army and some also for the former Bosnian Serb Army.
