CHALLY, Tatarstan -- The largest truck-building plant in Tatarstan has suspended operations until May 12, RFE/RL's Tatar-Bashkir Service reports.
KamAZ officials told journalists that the decision was due to a large fall in the number of KamAZ vehicles sold.
Workers and engineers at the facility in Chally -- Tajikistan's second-largest city -- will receive 75 percent of their salaries during the suspension.
It's the fourth suspension of the plant's operations since January 1.
