Weeks After Attack, Russian Media Owner Out Of Coma

SARATOV, Russia -- The owner of a Russian media group has awakened from a coma nearly a month after a brutal attack by unknown assailants in the southern Russian city of Saratov, RFE/RL's Russian Service reports.

Vadim Rogozhin, owner and general director of the Vzglyad Media holding group, is still said to be in serious condition.

Staff and acquaintances claim Rogozhin was targeted in the March 5 attack because of his professional activities.
