Yushchenko Says Russia's Charges 'Unfriendly'

KYIV (Reuters) -- Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko has rejected accusations of "anti-Russian" policies made by the Russian leader Dmitry Medvedev in his open letter on August 11.

"I will be frank, I am very disappointed with its unfriendly character," Yushchenko said in his first reaction to Medvedev's comments.

RFE/RL has been declared an "undesirable organization" by the Russian government.
