Albright, Dylan To Receive U.S. Presidential Medal Of Freedom

Former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and music legend Bob Dylan will be among 13 people awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by U.S. President Barack Obama at the White House on May 29.

The White House announced the date and released the list of recipients, who also include former senator and astronaut John Glenn, retired Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens, John Doar, a key figure in the Justice Department during the civil rights era, and William Foege who helped spread smallpox immunizations around the world.

The Presidential Medal of Freedom is the U.S. highest civilian honor.
