Human Chains, Protests Continue Into Fifth Night In Belarus

Protests have continued in Belarus after President Alyaksandr Lukashenka claimed he had been reelected on August 9 for a sixth term. The results are widely seen as falsified. Thousands of protesters formed human chains and marched through the capital, Minsk, with protests continuing into the evening of August 13.
